Applications
Simplicity
The ability to operate without shutting down process lines provides a substantial return on investment to owners. This design enhancement allows “pigging” to be completed without fluid transfer into the valve system or potential debris damaging the quills.
Position Sensor
Position sensors may be added to X-Quill to track the position of the quill in its stroke. In particular how far it extends into pipeline. Position sensors may be mounted internally or externally. This provides valuable information that assists with remote operation.
In addition, it allows operators to know precisely where in the flow a chemical will be injected (or, in the case of a sampling quill, to know precisely where in the flow a sample is drawn from).
